- Tongli Visit this historic market town while cruising its peaceful canals on a sampan.
- Suzhou Enjoy an evening performance of native classical music and dance in Suzhou's Master-of-Nets Garden. Explore the Humble Administrator's Garden.
- Yangtze River Cruise Sail up the Yangtze River. Tour Nanjing and visit the Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum, a Qing Dynasty-style bazaar and a Confucian Temple. Take a full day trip to Huangshan or Jiuhuanshan. Shore excursion of Wuhan and visit either the Hubei Provincial Museum or the Rare Stone Museum. Visit the Three Gorge Dam. Sail through the Three Gorges. Voyage down one of the Lesser Gorges on a small riverboat. Visit either the 'Ghost Town' of Fengdu or the port cities of Wanzhou or Shibaozhai.

Enjoy your luxury private car door to door transfer to your departure airport before your scheduled flight to Shanghai.
Day 2
Arrive Shanghai
We arrive in Shanghai and are greeted by the Trafalgar Tour Director who will escort you to your hotel.

Shanghai
Today we visit the most famous sites of Shanghai, including Old Town, the Bund, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the Old Shanghai Museum. Savour a Traditional Dim Sum Lunch at a local restaurant. This evening, see the world-renowned Shanghai Acrobats perform. (BB, L, D)

Day 4
Shanghai - Tongli - Suzhou
This morning we depart Shanghai for picturesque Tongli. We cruise Tongli's charming canals on a sampan before continuing on to Suzhou, where we enjoy an evening gala at the Master-of-Nets Garden, featuring native classical music and dance. (BB, L, D)

Day 5
Suzhou - Cruising the Yangtze River
Today we visit the exquisite Garden of the Humble Administrator and learn about silk manufacturing at the Embroidery Institute. We return to Shanghai later in the day and board your Victoria Cruises ship. (BB, L, D)

Day 6
Cruising the Yangtze River - Nanjing
Today, we explore Nanjing with visits to the Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum, a Qing Dynasty-style bazaar and a Confucian Temple. This evening, join the Captain's Welcome Cocktail Party. (BB, L, D)

Cruising the Yangtze River - Huangshan
Enjoy a full-day trip to Huangshan, home to quintessential Chinese mountain landscapes. Depending on river conditions, an alternate tour to Mt. Jiuhua may be taken. (BB, L, D)

Cruising the Yangtze River - Wuhan
Explore the Rare Stone Museum in Wuhan, featuring over 200,000 cultural relics, including the Sword of Goujian and extensive artifacts from the tomb of Marquise Li. Alternatively, visit the Hubei Museum. (BB, L, D)

A highlight of the tour today as we visit the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric power plant, before traversing through the Yangtze five-stage ship locks. (BB, L, D)

Cruising the Yangtze River
Today we sail through the first two of the Three Gorges - Xiling and Wu. We board a small riverboat and explore one of the enchanting Lesser Gorges of either the Daning River or Shennong Stream before continuing through Qutang Gorge, flanked by towering mountains. (BB, L, D)

Cruising the Yangtze River
We visit either the "Ghost Town" of Fengdu or the port cities of Wanzhou or Shibaozhai, depending on water levels. This evening, attend the Captain's Farewell Dinner. (BB, L, FD)

Day 13
Cruising the Yangtze River - Chongqing to Xi'an
Today we disembark in Chongqing and start exploring the city. We visit the giant pandas at the zoo and then fly to Xi'an. This evening, savour a sumptuous Traditional Dumpling Dinner. (BB, L, D)

Xi'an sightseeing
Spend an exciting day visiting the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, guarding the tomb of China's first emperor. Later, we visit the City Wall. (BB, L, HD)

Day 15
Xi'an to Beijing
Fly to Beijing and visit Beijing's UNESCO World Heritage Summer Palace, China's best example of classical Chinese imperial garden design. (BB, L, D)

Day 16
Beijing sightseeing
Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Take a rickshaw ride through the hutongs and enjoy a Chinese Home-Hosted Highlight Lunch with a local family. This evening, attend a performance at the famous Beijing Opera and be treated to a traditional Chinese tea service. (BB, HL, D)

Day 17
Beijing sightseeing and The Great Wall
Today we visit the 2008 Beijing Olympic sites before heading out to one of the wonders of the ancient world and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World - the Great Wall of China. Later, we walk along the Sacred Way, past giant animal statuary guarding the Ming Tombs. (BB, L, HD)

Day 18 (Door to Door)
Depart Beijing
Say farewell as we transfer to Beijing International Airport for your return scheduled flight back to the UK. On arrival at your UK airport, your driver will greet you and escort you to your waiting luxury private car for your door to door transfer to your home. (BB)
