Day 1 (Door to Door)
Arrive Prague
Enjoy your luxury private car door to door transfer to your departure airport before your scheduled flight to Prague, where a transfer is provided to your first hotel. Later we will enjoy a Welcome Drink and dinner with our Tour Director and travelling companions. (WD, D)

Day 2
Prague sightseeing and at leisure
Our guided walking tour includes a visit to St. Vitus Cathedral and features Hradçany Castle, the Old Town Square and the romantic Charles Bridge. Afterwards there is ample free time to shop for bargains in Bohemian crystal. (BB)

Day 3
Prague at leisure
A full day at leisure today in a city where there is so much to see and do. Perhaps take a cruise along the Vltava river or visit one of the castles on the outskirts of the city. In the evening maybe drink some refreshing Pilsen beer or attend an opera performance in one of Prague's many theatres. (BB)

Day 4
Prague - Lednice - Vienna
Today via Brno, one-time headquarters of Napoleon, we head to Lednice Castle, to visit the Italianate gardens. We cross the border into Austria to Vienna. Tonight, why not take a stroll through the Prater Park and take a ride on the big wheel? (BB)

Day 5
Vienna sightseeing & at leisure
Today's guided sightseeing tour shows us the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament Buildings, the Opera House, St. Stephen's Cathedral and we take a walk through the oldest part of the city. Later, time is your own to maybe take a trip into the Vienna Woods. (BB, HD)

Dining Highlights: Tonight we enjoy a dinner of Viennese specialities at a 'Heurige' wine tavern.
Day 6
Vienna at leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure. Perhaps shop in the Kärntnerstrasse, visit beautiful Schönbrunn Palace or visit Vienna's more unusual museums such as the one dedicated to Sigmund Freud. In the evening, why not take in a concert of Strauss' music? (BB)

Day 7
Vienna - Bratislava - Budapest
This morning, it's not long before we arrive in Slovakia, driving via the capital, Bratislava, with its medieval Town Hall in the quaint Old Town area, before continuing on into Hungary and Budapest. Tonight, why not enjoy a Danube cruise to see the beautiful city by night? (BB)

Day 8
Budapest sightseeing and at leisure
Today's sightseeing includes a walking tour of Old Buda, which shows us, among other monuments, the Matthias Church Fishermen's Bastion. Later we also see the Great Synagogue and Heroes' Square. There is then free time to perhaps shop for Hungarian embroidery. Tonight maybe sample Hungarian specialities in a local restaurant to the accompaniment of gypsy style music. (BB)

Day 9
Budapest at leisure
A full day to relax and enjoy the sights or perhaps indulge in some spa treatments at one of the Turkish baths. (BB, FD)

Day 10 (Door to Door)
Depart Budapest
Bid farewell to new-found friends at the end of your fascinating tour. We transfer to Zurich airport for our return scheduled flight back to the UK. On arrival at your UK airport, your driver will greet you and escort you to your waiting luxury private car for your door to door transfer to your home. (BB)

Splendid Interiors
Our private mini-coach takes us through the magical narrow streets and alleys of the city, made famous by the film, Amadeus. We visit the exquisite baroque St. Nicholas Church where the Requiem Mass to commemorate Mozart's death was performed. We drive past the homes of Nobles frequently used for Mozart's private concerts and the churches where his golden fingers would touch the keys of the mighty organs to produce heavenly music. Finally we visit the spectacular Theatre of the Estates, where 'Don Giovanni' saw its first performance. When closed we will visit the Art Nouveau 'Municipal House', with its concert hall. Euro 44
Nelahozeves Castle
The sixteenth century represents the pinnacle of Renaissance Bohemian architecture. Returned to the Roudnice- Lobkowitz noble family in 1993, the castle houses the acclaimed exhibition, "Six centuries of European Art Patronage" in one of the most important private museums in Europe. The collection incorporates thousands of works from the Renaissance including important paintings by Cranach, Brueghel the Elder, Rubens. A significant part of the exhibition features a major collection of furniture, ceramics, porcelain and glass, family photographs and also musical instruments and manuscripts of Beethoven, Mozart and others. Adjacent to the museum, we see the birthplace and a monument to the legendary Czech composer, Anton Dvorak. The Castle Restaurant is our venue for lunch! Euro 53
Imperial Highlights
We enjoy a guided visit to the Palace of Schönbrunn, with its magnificently preserved state rooms and exquisite gardens. From the summer residence of the Habsburg monarchs, we continue to either the Imperial Treasures, the Vienna Opera House or the Crypts and Vaults of the Imperial family for a guided tour. Euro 40
Prater Wheel and Dinner in a Country Mansion
First we visit the cheerful Prater Park to take a gentle ride on the historic Big Wheel and admire the picturesque skyline of Vienna. Then across the Danube to the historic country retreat of Deutsch-Wagram, scene of the great Napoleonic battle. Here we will enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the elegant dining rooms. Euro 63
Vienna Palace Concert
A wonderful concert of Viennese classical music including some of the most famous works of Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed by some of the most highly acclaimed soloists and dancers in Austria. A glass of champagne is included during the interval. Euro 46
Vienna Woods Excursion
Accompanied by a local guide, we drive to the west of this Imperial City to the romantic Vienna Woods. We travel through charming wine villages to visit the Romanesque Abbey of the Holy Cross at Heiligenkreuz before stopping at Mayerling and the Carmelite convent which marks the spot where the tragic events of 1889 took place. These and much, much more will be revealed to us on this fascinating and scenic tour. Euro 38
Danube Cruise with Lunch/Dinner

Budapest's Secret Treasures
After a guided visit of the Hungarian Parliament, the second largest and of the most ornate in the world, we drive to Vajdahunyad Castle, the most interesting building complex in the City Park. In the pretty chapel of this fairy-tale like castle, we will enjoy a short organ concert and then saunter beneath the shady trees of the park to the world famous Gundel Restaurant for coffee and the speciality of the house - Gundel's delicious pancakes and a drink! Old Hungary Excursion with Lunch
A short drive from Budapest, the lovely medieval town of St. Andrew's is a 'must', with its ancient walls and narrow, cobbled streets. Being a centre of art and handicrafts, it has a truly unique atmosphere. First we visit the Skansen ppen-air Museum, where town houses and village cottages from medieval Hungary are preserved. Then on to St. Andrew's itself to stroll around, take pictures and perhaps strike a bargain in the shops that sell beautiful Hungarian embroidery and ceramics. The visit will be completed with a typical Hungarian lunch and a glass of excellent wine. Euro 58
Hungarian & Gypsy Folklore Show & Dinner.
Tonight we enjoy a Hungarian dinner with drinks in a local restaurant to the sound of folklore music as the local musicians serenade you at your table. Euro 47
Hungarian Folklore show in the Buda Hills
Tonight we drive through the illuminated city of Budapest to the Buda Hills, where we attend a lively gypsy folklore show, where you will see traditional Hungarian style dancing and entertainment. Refreshment included. Euro 42
