Overall customer rating 5 () 4 Reviews

    • Product :
We were unfortunate with the weather & lack of vibrancy in the colours. Visits to the Rockwell museum & Billings farm were too rushed & we would have liked another night at Stowe to enjoy the hotel & it's surroundings. Also the location of the final hotel was not good - couldn't you find somewhere on the coast?

    • Service Rating :
Directions to find taxi at Boston airport could have been better & had there not been a gentleman at the desk we could have had a problem getting a Metro cab

    • Response :
Thank you for taking the time to write on Feefo. Your comments and suggestions are used to help us improve on aspects of our holidays, so we appreciate your candid feedback. With regards to the documents we endeavor to provide you with as much information as possible within your travel documents; our vouchers have phone contact details and specific instructions as to where to find your vehicle for transfer. We apologize for any inconvenience these documents caused and we will pass the comments onto the Operations team in the US. I am pleased to read that you did get to your transfer in the end.

Your comments regarding your visits to Rockwell Museum and Billings Farm as well as the possibility of a coastal hotel will be passed to our Product team for further thought. Thank you for advising this.

Again thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We do hope that that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you on another Milestones tour with us.

      Kind Regards

    • Product :
We enjoyed the tour very much and had a very bubbly and knowledgable tour guide. There are a few things we might change, however. Three apple related visits was too much (especially as we live in an apple growing area!) and less focus on food generally would be nice. We found Portsmouth rather limited, especially as there are more interesting places to stay on that coast. We would have preferred more time in Boston, and regretted that we did not add a few more days in that city to the holiday.

    • Service Rating :
An excellent tour at a reasonable price. We benefitted from the inclusion of air fares in the cost, and note that is not the case this year, so are not sure that the price is so competitive.

    • Response :
Your positive comments of "an excellent tour at reasonable prices "is pleasing to read.

The decision to brochure our tours without the cost of international flights included was due to customer feedback and to offer greater choice, however, we have since come to appreciate that many other clients like to see a fully packaged price, which is why for January 2012 we are pleased to reintroduce the cost of international flights back into our portfolio of products.

We have passed your comments regarding your tour onto our Product Team for their perusal. Thank you for taking the time to write on Feefo and scoring highly for Milestones.

We look forward to welcoming you onto another Milestone´s holiday again soon.

Too much rain, too little sleep.

    • Service Rating :
      Very efficient in every respect.

    • Response :
Thank you for your kind words and high scores, regarding the service that you received.

How unfortunate that it rained, we do hope that this did not overly affect your experience. Our tours can be fairly lively, again we hope this did not affect your enjoyment of your tour.

    • Product :
Again this was no Milestones but with Insight. On arrival at the airport in Boston we were on our own to find taxi to the holiday, we had vouchers for Metro Taxis but as none were available we had to taken another one and pay. The tour itself was very good and we had an excellent guide.

    • Service Rating :
On the two tours we have taken on arrival we were infact with Insight Tours but no mention of this was made in the documentation.

    • Response :
Milestones would like to thank you for leaving us your feedback and for the excellent rating on Feefo.

We are very pleased to hear that you had a good holiday and that you felt that the tour guide was excellent, they are often passionate about the life and history of their own city and really give you a wealth of local knowledge.

We would like to apologise that you were unaware you would be travelling with our sister company Insight. Please let me explain that we endeavour to highlight our sister companies like Insight throughout our brochure starting from Page 7, which includes a write up on each of the companies we feature. The Insight Logo is also on the appropriate holiday pages within the brochure to, indicate who the tour is hosted by.

As we have clients coming in from all over the world at different times and from different destinations to meet up with our tours, unfortunately we cannot offer a `meet and greet´ service at the airport with a transfer company or our tour director. We are sorry to hear that you had a problem with the taxi company and I will forward this on to our product team for them to review and see if they can improve the procedure.

We would like to thank you for booking through Milestones and we look forward to seeing you on another one of tours very soon.

      Kind regards,

      Debbie Pullum
