Enjoy your private car door to door transfer to your departure airport before your scheduled flight to Delhi.

Day 2

Arrive Delhi - At leisure (2)

On arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, you are greeted with a traditional floral garland and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, join your Tour Director for a Welcome Reception with a delicious meal. (WD (D)

Day 3

Delhi Sightseeing

Ride by rickshaw through the lanes of Chandni Chowk bazaar in Old Delhi. View the Red Fort, visit the Gandhi memorial at Raj Ghat and the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. Continue to Gandhi Smrit, the house where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life. Enjoy a Mediterranean style lunch in the shadow of the Qutub Minar. Later, drive along the broad Rajpath past the India Gate and Parliament House to visit the Tomb of Humayun. Finish with an insight into the local religion at a colourful temple. (BB, HL)

Day 4

Delhi - Agra

After an early morning snack, transfer to the station for the train journey to Agra. Upon arrival, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then proceed to the Taj Mahal, an exquisite dream in marble built by an emperor in memory of his beloved queen. Return to the hotel for relaxation. This afternoon tour through the palatial Royal Pavilions and gardens at the Agra Fort. Later, attend a spectacular stage musical production, which follows the 'Saga of Love' that inspired the Taj Mahal. (BB)

Agra - Jaipur (2)

There is the option of witnessing the Taj Mahal at dawn before driving on to the ancient Mughul capital of Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city full of architectural wonder. Lunch is served at the majestic Laxmi Vilas Palace in Bharatpur. Then continue to the 'Pink City' of Jaipur. (BB, HL)

Day 6

Jaipur Sightseeing

Ascend by jeep to the Amber Fort, its royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirrors, glass and exquisite paintings. Back in Jaipur, see the 'Hawa Mahal' (the Palace of Winds) and visit the city Palace Museum and royal observatory. Return to the Amber Fort for the evening Sound and Light show. (BB)

Day 7

Jaipur - Mandawa - Bikaner

Depart Jaipur and head northwest to Castle Mandawa for an authentic local lunch. Continue to the fortified desert city of Bikaner, known for its camel festival which is celebrated on a grand scale every January. Learn all about this indispensable ship of the desert at the Camel Research and Breeding Farm before reaching your hotel. (BB, HL, D)

Bikaner - Jaisalmer (2)

Your tour of Bikaner includes the Junagarh Fort, an unassailable fortress comprising of various palaces, pavilions and a museum containing priceless art and antiques. Continue through the Thar Desert to Jaisalmer, crowned by its hill top fortress. Lunch is provided en route. (BB, L)

Day 9

Jaisalmer Sightseeing

Enjoy a city tour of Jaisalmer visiting Garhi Sagar Lake and the Fort built in 1156 but still in use today. Pass by the local market where you can witness desert life at its best. Rest of the afternoon is at leisure. No trip to Jaisalmer is complete without a trip to the rippling Sam Sand Dunes where a camel trek and dinner has been arranged. Dinner at the dunes, under a perpetual sky littered with a bouquet of stars, is an amazing experience. (BB, HD)

Day 10

Jaisalmer - Rohet Garh

Follow the ancient silk routes to your beautiful heritage hotel, set on the banks of a lake and landscaped with colourful flowers, rare plants and trees. Later, feel the very pulse of rural Rajasthan on your 'Village Safari' where you are welcomed into the homes of the local Bishnoi people to share a slice of their life. (BB)

Jodhpur Excursion

Drive to the 'blue city' of Jodhpur for a sightseeing tour. Visit Mehrangarh Fort set on a cliff a hundred feet above the city skyline and the white marble Jaswant Thada. Return to Rohet where the rest of the day is free to relax. Dinner this evening is included at nearby Mihir Garh - a luxury modern desert wilderness retreat. (BB, HD)

Rohet Garh - Udaipur (2)

Drive to Ranakpur, the temple town of Rajasthan. Visit the sprawling Jain temple known for its intricate carvings and architecture. Lunch is served at an idyllic former royal retreat, amid lush greenery. Continue to Udaipur. (BB, HL)

Day 13

Udaipur sightseeing

Sightseeing today includes the City Palace complex, private residence of the 'King of Kings'. Wander through the markets and bazaars to visit the Jagdish Temple and Garden of the Maids of the Honour. This evening enjoy a boat cruise on the serene waters of Lake Pichola followed by a special Celebration Dinner with drinks. (BB, HD)

Day 14

Udaipur - Delhi

After breakfast, the morning is entirely at leisure for independent activities. This afternoon transfer to Udaipur airport for your flight back to Delhi. (BB)

Depart Delhi

Your tour draws to a close today. Transfers are available to the airport for your return scheduled flight back to the UK. On arrival at your UK airport, your driver will greet you and escort you to your waiting private car for your door to door transfer to your home. (BB)
