Enjoy your private car door to door transfer to your departure airport before your flight to Honolulu where a transfer is provided to your first hotel. Aloha and welcome to the beautiful Hawaiian islands! After being greeted with smiling faces and a traditional flower lei, we will be transferred to our elegant beachfront resort, with its expansive pool, stretch of golden beach, luxurious guest rooms and the only beach front spa in the area. Gather at 6pm with your fellow guests and Tour Director for a Welcome Drink.

Day 2
Honolulu sightseeing and at leisure
Hawaii is known around the world for its great surfing and this morning we get a chance to meet one of the famous Waikiki beach boys who will "talk story" with us about surfing and share their ocean skills. If you feel adventurous, paddling out and standing up on your big board is optional. The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps explore the Waikiki InternationalMarketplace and its more than 100 carts, shops and artisan stands or just relax at our oceanfront resort. (FB)

Day 3
Honolulu sightseeing
We begin our day with a little island history, starting with a private guided tour of Iolani Palace, the former home of Hawaiian royalty and the only official royal residence in the United States.We explore downtown Honolulu and view the current State Capitol, the King Kamehameha Statue at Aliiolani Hale and Washington Place. Next we visit Pearl Harbor and the poignant USS Arizona Memorial. We then head to Punchbowl National Cemetery and its rolling green hills bursting with flowers.Meet aWWII Veteran and explore this famous sitewhere those who died in the Pacific navalwar are buried. This evening watch the sun dip below the horizon as we enjoy elegant ocean-side dining at a Highlight Dinner at the award-winning Beachhouse restaurant . (FB, HD)

Day 4
Honolulu - Maui (3)
Soar high above the Pacific and enjoy the island views as we fly to Maui. We head for famed Kaanapali Beach, once designated the best beach in the United States. Our home for the next three nights is the luxurious beachfront Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas. Enjoy the spectacular views from your private balcony, the sumptuous cuisine and beautiful pool. This afternoon, choose from three included pastimes: a lesson to learn how to hula dance or play the ukulele or a visit to the resort's world-class spa? (FB)

Day 5
Maui sightseeing
Today is a journey for all five senses; tasting, smelling, touching, seeing and hearing, while experiencing the eclectic home-grown specialities of Maui. We follow the little-travelled back roads to explore the island's unique boutique farms. Take a deep breath as you may think you have been transported to Provence, but what you can smell is simply the enticing scent of the royal lavender of Kula at Alii Kula Lavender Farm.We learn how lavender is grown as we tour the farm; then indulge our palates as we sip lavender tea and sample scones baked with lavender. At the Surfing Goat Dairy, winner of 16 national awards. We then enjoy a Highlight Lunch served al fresco on the beach at I'0 restaurant, renowned for its contemporary Pacific cuisine. This afternoon, stroll the shops and galleries along Front Street in Lahaina and enjoy an evening at leisure. (FB, HL)

Day 6
Maui at leisure
This morning is yours to explore further or succumb to the pleasures of your resort. If you're ready for more adventure, rise before dawn for an optional tour to greet the sunrise from atop a volcano. Perhaps embark on a cruise to spot the migrating humpback whales, breaching and spy hopping (in season) or just relax and enjoy the beach and spa. This afternoon we meet with a local naturalist for an enlightening talk about the ever-changing geology and the formation of the Hawaiian Archipelago. Tonight we celebrate Hawaii's culture and traditions at an authentic Hawaiian Luau Highlight Dinner. (FB, HD)

Day 7
Maui - Hawaii (3)
We fly to the Big Island of Hawaii.Winding our way through rolling volcanic hills and lush foliage we visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. A UNESCOWorld Heritage Site, the park is home to the world's largest volcano and one of the most active. We visit the Jaggar Museum to learn about the lava flows and explosive beginnings of the Hawaiian Islands. There's even the chance to walk through the Thurston Lava tube, a massive, hollow chamber formed when lava drained from it some 500 years ago. After lunch we arrive at the spectacular Fairmont Orchid . From your distinctive guest room to personalised service, striking public spaces and enchanted setting by the sea, you won't soon forget your stay in Kona! This evening, indulge in Hawaiian elegance with a four-course Highlight Dinner with wine at the awardwinning Brown's Beach House Restaurant. (FB, L, HD)

Hawaii sightseeing
This morning we take a guided walk through coffee and macademia nut orchards and the only cacao farm in North America that grows and produces chocolate. Then we step back in time at Puuhonua o Honaunau (place of refuge) National Historical Park, a restored religious sanctuary designed to keep stories and traditions of Old Hawaii alive. On the way back to the resort we stop at historic Anna Ranch, which embodies the history of Hawaiian ranching. Enjoy this rare opportunity to visit the restored ranch house and outbuildings and meet the on-site blacksmith and Master saddle maker who can be seen in action most days. (FB)

Day 9
Hawaii at leisure
Today is free to spend as you please, enjoying the resort's activities with your included Fun 'N' Sun Activity Pass. Don a snorkel to explore underwater life, guide a kayak through clear waters or learn how to paddle a traditional outrigger canoe. Perhaps visit the Pacific's largest field of petroglyphs or practice weaving a coconut-leaf basket. Or simply spend some time at the famed SpaWithoutWalls. Be sure to leave some time to visit the friendly colony of green sea turtles that bask on the shores each afternoon. Later we enjoy a mixology class to learn how to make the perfect Mai Tai, Blue Hawaiian and Pina Colada and get a taste of your favourite concoction!We toast our Tour Director and fellow guests farewell at tonight's dinner.
