Day 1 (Door to Door)

Arrive Istanbul (3)

Enjoy your private car door to door transfer to your departure airport before your flight to Istanbul, a glorious city uniquely located spanning the continents of Europe and Asia. On arrival at Istanbul Airport we are met and transferred to our hotel. Relax and settle in or begin exploring your new surroundings. This evening, get to know your fellow guests over a welcome drink.

Day 2

Istanbul sightseeing

We commence our sightseeing with a visit to the famous Blue Mosque. Then it's on to the museum of Hagia Sophia. We see the Hippodrome, site of the old city's chariot races and round off the tour at the Grand Bazaar. How much to pay? Don't worry, our guide will provide a full explanation of the time-honoured ritual of bargaining! This afternoon is at leisure. (BB)

Day 3

Istanbul at leisure

A full day to explore! Sightseeing suggestions include a cruise along the Bosphorus past elegant palaces and picturesque fishing villages, or sip mint tea with stall holders as you bargain in the bazaar for goods laid out before you. (BB)

Day 4

Istanbul - cruising

This morning, perhaps devote some time to the opulent Dolmabahce Palace? Later we board our cruise and set sail on the Sea of Marmara and along the Dardanelles. (BB, D)

Day 5

Cruising - Izmir

After a morning's cruising we arrive at the Turkish port of Izmir where a visit to ancient Ephesus is a must. (BB, L, D)

Day 6

Cruising - Patmos - Mykonos

We arrrive early at the island of Patmos where St. John the Divine received his vision of the Apocalypse. Later we dock at the pretty island of Mykonos with its white washed windmills overlooking the harbour. Explore the maze of walkways, tavernas and shops before setting sail again later this evening. Tonight we enjoy a Greek Evening and Dinner. (BB, L, HD)

Day 7

Cruising - Rhodes

Today we enjoy a whole day to explore Rhodes, founded by the Ancient Greeks and then chosen by the Crusaders for their fortified headquarters. Spend time on the golden beaches or hunt for bargains in the medieval city. Tonight we meet the Captain at dinner. (BB, L, D)

Day 8

Cruising - Crete - Santorini

This morning we sail to Crete, Homer's 'island of the gods'. We drop anchor at the capital of Heraklion to mingle with the friendly locals, shop, or maybe visit the ruins of King Minos' Palace of Knossos. Later, our ship anchors beneath the cliffs of Santorini, one of the most spectacular islands of the Mediterranean. Check out the capital of Thira, with it's cliff top restaurants and cafés, breathtaking views and amazing sunsets. (BB, L, D)

Day 9

Athens sightseeing (2)

Today we disembark and transfer to central Athens for a walking tour of the Acropolis and Parthenon, built to the honour of the goddess Athena. We see the Agora, where Socrates taught, the Royal Palace, Temple of Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, and the 1896 stadium built for the first modern Olympics. The remainder of the day is at leisure. This evening, why not opt for an evening out in the famous Plaka District? (BB)

Day 10

Athens at leisure

Today is entirely free to relax, shop, bargain in the Flea Market or do some further sightseeing. Suggestions include an optional excursion to Cape Sounion where the temple of Poseidon rises from the cliffs above the Aegean Sea. (BB)

Day 11 (Door to Door)

Depart Athens

We are transferred to Athens International Airport for your return flight back to the UK. On arrival at your UK airport, your driver will greet you and escort you to your waiting private car for your door to door transfer to your home. (BB)

      We find that our prices are competitive and there are noticeable difference between our tours and our competitor´s. Many do not include meals, or offer the same number of nights or stay in different cities in different qualities of hotel.
