Weapons such as flick knives, swordsticks and knuckledusters are prohibited. A reciprocal health agreement with the United Kingdom exists for medical treatment including public hospital inpatient treatment where payment will be required. Free dental treatment for the under 16's. In order to obtain treatment a UK passport will be required. Further details are available from www.dh.gov.uk.

- None required, however for those travelling to New Zealand frequently or intending to spend extended time there, Hepatitis B should be considered.

The following DO NOT require a visa: 1) Nationals of New Zealand. 2) Nationals of Australia. 3) Holders of valid Re-entry Permit (Resident Return Visa) 4) Holders of the following valid re-entry visas: a) Permanent Residents Visas b) Resident Visas with travel conditions and Returning Residence Visas. c) Holders of endorsements indicating New Zealand citizenship. 5) For stays up to 6 months to Holders of British passports provided holding: a) Passport endorsed "British Citizen" b) Passport contains a Certificate of Entitlement to the right of abode issued by the United Kingdom. c) In addition to their passport, alternative documentary evidence to establish right of abode in the UK. e.g a letter or certificate from British Authorities, permanent residence papers or a Birth Certificate which confirms place of birth is the UK. 6) For stays up to 3 months by: a) Holders of British passports endorsed "British National (Overseas)" b) Nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, Czech Rep, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR China passports), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep of), Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (South), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, Uruguay, USA & Vatican City. c) Nationals of Portugal providing the holder has the right to enter Portugal for permanent residence d) Holders of Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) passports providing the passport contains an ID number on the biographical page. e) Nationals of Kuwait EXCEPT if holding "Article 17" passports.
