- All executives speak English, many also speak Italian, French and/or German. Smoking in restaurants and bars is prohibited unless a designated smoking room is provided. There are also restrictions on smoking on public transport and public areas. On social occasions be punctual. Dress as for business meetings unless otherwise indicated. The minimum drinking age is 18 years

- Hotel Classification:
- All accommodation in Malta is officially classified and graded. Hotels are graded using the standard star system from 2 star up to 5 star. Self-catering developments (which may also offer "normal" hotel rooms) are classified either as a holiday village (officially called a "Tourist Village") with extensive grounds offering a full range of hotel services including catering, leisure and other facilities; "Holiday Complex" with less ground and fewer facilities; or "Aparthotel" providing only hotel and catering services. These are all graded from 4 star down to 2 star, based on facilities. Guesthouses and basic self-catering apartments (with or without pool) are classified as Standard or Comfort.

Participant of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC scheme) which allows visitors on short-term stays to other member countries to use the public health care sector for free or reduced-cost medical treatment and emergency care. EHIC replaces the E111 form. <b>Please note:</b> The EHIC scheme is not an alternative to travel insurance. - Compulsary Vaccinations
- Yellow fever certificate required if aged 9 months and over and coming from an area with risk of yellow fever transmission.
- Recommended Immunisations
- None required, however for those travelling to Malta frequently or intending to spend extended time there, Tetanus and Hepatitus B should be considered.
