Hotel Classification:: Croatia uses the standard 1-star up to 5-star grading system. This officially replaced their former system ï¿½ L (de luxe) through A, B, C and D ï¿½ at the end of 2000.

The fine weather during summer is sometimes interrupted by occasional thunderstorms which increase in frequency from south to north. Autumn and winter rainfall can be quite heavy. A reciprocal health agreement for medical, dental and hospital treatment exists with the United Kingdom. For UK Nationals to obtain treatment a UK passport will be required. Risks: Tick Borne Encephalitis (TBE): Ticks live in forests, woods, grasslands, riverside meadows, marshes, brushwood and shrublands. They usually live in the undergrowth, where they can easily get onto the clothes or skin of passers-by. Travellers intending to visit such areas are recommended to get vaccinated.

Passports must be valid for 3 months beyond period of intended stay
