The north tends to be cooler & wetter than the south, winters here are dreary with low temperatures. Health

A reciprocal health agreement for medical treatment exists with the United Kingdom. In order to obtain treatment a UK passport will be required. UK residents who are not UK nationals will need a certificate of insurance from HM Revenue and Customs Centre for non-residents. Further details are available from www.dh.gov.uk.

Risks
Tick Borne Encephalitis (TBE): Ticks live in forests, woods, grasslands, riverside meadows, marshes, brushwood and shrublands. They usually live in the undergrowth, where they can easily get onto the clothes or skin of passers-by. Travellers intending to visit such areas are recommended to get vaccinated.
