Day 1 (Door to Door)
Arrive Boston
Enjoy your private car door to door transfer to your departure airport before your flight to Boston where a transfer is provided to your first hotel. Your Tour Director is at the hotel this afternoon to greet you and answer your questions. Please join us at 6pm for a Welcome Drink at the hotel. (WD) Hotel: The Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston (D)
Day 2
Boston - Bar Harbor
After a brief orientation tour of Boston, travel north through New Hampshire into Maine. Stop to explore Portland and its restored 19th century buildings and historic Old Port. Continue on to Mount Desert Island and the New England seaside village of Bar Harbor, surrounded by Acadia National Park. (FB)

Day 3
Acadia National Park Excursion
Take in the beauty of Acadia National Park with its dramatic rocky shoreline, beaver ponds and spectacular views from the top of Cadillac Mountain. Then explore Bar Harbor on your own, enjoying its quaint shops, galleries and superb views, or perhaps take an optional nature cruise. This evening feast on traditional Maine lobster. (FB) (HD)
Day 4
Bar Harbor - Saint John
As you leave Bar Harbor, travel north across the border into New Brunswick, view the amazing Reversing Falls before continuing to Saint John, Canada's oldest city overlooking the Bay of Fundy. (FB)

Day 5
Saint John - Charlottetown
Stop at the Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy, revealing the world's highest, wildest tides, a phenomenal marine wonder. Drive across the modern Confederation Bridge to Charlottetown, capital of Prince Edward Island. This evening, your Tour Director offers you a selection of restaurants for your dining pleasure. (FB)

Day 6
Prince Edward Island sightseeing
Visit Founders' Hall, Canada's Birthplace Pavilion, where you'll walk through the "Time Travel Tunnel" learning about Canadian history. Then, immerse yourself in local history with a guided walking tour of graceful Charlottetown. Travel up the north shore to the beautiful beaches and broad inlets of Prince Edward Island National Park. Take a guided tour of Green Gables, the farm house that inspired the setting for Lucy Maud Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables." This evening is at your leisure. (FB)
Day 7
Charlottetown - Ingonish Beach
Ferry across the Northumberland Strait to Nova Scotia. Travel on to charming Pictou, renowned as the "Birthplace of New Scotland" where the first Scottish immigrants landed in 1773. Continue to Ingonish Beach at the foot of the Cape Breton Highlands. Settle into your hotel, superbly located on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. After dinner, learn about the diversity and ecology of Nova Scotia's coastal and inland habitats at an enlightening slide-show presentation by a naturalist. (FB) (D)

Cabot Trail and Cape Breston Highlands National Park Excursion

Ingonish Beach - Halifax
Leave Ingonish and the highlands and travel to Baddeck Bay and tranquil Bras d'Or Lake to visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site where models, photo displays, artifacts and films describe the fascinating life of the great inventor. Continue south to Halifax, Nova Scotia's lively harbour front capital. (FB)

Halifax Sightseeing
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Halifax including the Public Gardens, waterfront and Spring Garden Road. Learn about the Halifax Explosion and the city's connection to the Titanic. Visit the Citadel National Historic Site and be swept away by its superb panoramic views. Continue to the picturesque village of Peggy's Cove. Upon your return to Halifax, perhaps explore the boutiques and restaurants. Tonight, raise a glass to your Maritimes sojourn at a Highlight Dinner. (FB) (HD)

Halifax - St. Andrews-By-The-Sea
This morning visit Fort Beausejour National Historic Site, a former important 18th century military outpost. Continue to beautiful St. Andrews-by-the-Sea and your elegant Tudor-style resort. This evening enjoy dinner at one of the resort's excellent restaurants. (FB) (D)

Day 12
St Andrews - Kennebunkport
Returning to the United States, visit Bangor and admire the cityscape, much of it listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Continue on to the delightful coastal resort of Kennebunkport, travelling along the scenic Ocean Drive with stunning views of the coastline and great mansions, including the famous Bush family compound. Tonight, say farewell to your new found friends at a Celebration Dinner at your charming inn. (FB) (HD)

Day 13
Kennebunkport - Depart Boston
Enjoy more scenic coastline and quaint coastal villages on the way to Salem, home to the infamous Salem Witch Trials. We board a narrated trolley and discover this colourful coastal city, rich in maritime heritage, historic architecture and amazing stories. Your tour ends with a complimentary transfer to Boston International Airport and your return flight back to the UK or the tour hotel in Boston for guests extending their stay. If you are arranging your own flights, please do not schedule them before 4pm. (FB)
